My New Boyfriend!

Ok so I want a "boyfriend" blazer and I want it NOW! After seeing this adorable picture of Nicole Richie and her little Harlow in Hollywood, I want one. Nicole looks so chic without even really trying! I mean seriously what is easier than a white tank, jeans, and black boyfriend blazer, a few layered necklaces, chic glasses, and a quick pony!

So now, I want a boyfriend blazer to wear. To throw on and look this fabulous! In the start of a Texas summer where it will get to above 100 degrees very soon, its a dumb idea. But at least I would look good right? What we do in the name of beauty!

Do you like Nicole Richie's style? What do you think of the Boyfriend Blazer trend?

For ever season, there is a reason for a Purse?

I’m going on a trip soon and I want to downsize my purse. I should go through my other purses to find the right one but of course, I want a new one. I would rather save my money to spend on the trip than buy a new purse FOR the trip. So, I’ll stick with my first option.
But it does seem like I just had this thought like 2 or 3 months ago. Come to think of it, I have this thought at the start of every season. I need a new fall purse, I need a new winter purse, I need a new spring purse, I need a new summer purse. It’s a revolving cycle.
Whether I actually follow through or not, it still leads to a lot of purses. I have quite a few! Yet, I still want more!
Do you have a bunch? Do you want a new one every season?

How often do you buy a new purse?
P.S. I really want this BetseyVille "Safari Park" Dome Satchel from Dillards!

Of course, money is tight for everyone so these are just day dreams. But it sure is fun to dream. Alot of them are dresses because I love them! but we already know that! Here are things I want this week:

The Alyssa Shirt Dress from Delias.com

I can see many bbqs and pool parties in this dresses future! It comes in turqouise, navy, brown, white and purple. I like the purple. It could be a great transition to fall too!

$44.50

Chevron striped spaghetti dress from fredflare.com

Ok, I'm over the moon for this dress. It would be perfect for just hanging out with friends, going shopping on the weekend and a multitude of other things. Though its a seems a litle overprice,if i had $ just lying around I would buy this dress IMMEDIATELY! Especially since they are running out fast.

This swimsuit screams PINUP!! I love vintage looking stuff and this is the epitome of it! I can win any sailor's heart in this fancy get swimsuit, oh wait, thats me dreaming again! I went back in time! SO adorable and seems like something Dita Von Teese or Katy Perry might wear to the beach. Steep price, but we're just dreaming anyway.

I don't know what in the heck I would wear these with but to me it screams SUMMER! Maybe with the Alyssa Sundress up top! Ah but to dream!!

Wacky and Weird, but would you use it? Latisse-lash solution

The lastest wacky beauty treatment: Latisse solution "is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker." "the first and only FDA prescription treatment for inadequate or insufficient eyelashes"

From their website:

"LATISSE™ works effectively.

LATISSE™ makes lash growth possible because of its active ingredient: bimatoprost. Although the precise mechanism of action is not known, research suggests that the growth of eyelashes occurs by increasing the percent of hairs in, and the duration of, the anagen (or growth) phase.

Lashes can grow longer, thicker and darker because bimatoprost can also prolong this growth phase.Clinically proven results you can see over time.

LATISSE™ is FDA approved and effective. It's a once-a-day treatment you apply topically to the base of your upper eyelashes. Patients in a clinical trial saw results in as few as 8 weeks with full results after 12 to 16 weeks. It's an innovation backed by research.

While LATISSE™ is a new treatment for inadequate or not enough eyelashes, it was developed through years of research by Allergan, a pharmaceutical leader with over 60 years of expertise in prescription eye care products.Ask your doctor if LATISSE™ solution is right for you."

Coincidentally, the maker of LATISSE, Allergan is also the maker of Botox Cosmetic, Juvederm, and Lap-band system. Oh and they have their own "breast augmentation, enhancement & implants" line called Natrelle. I find this fact pretty funny.

So I'll be completely honest, I am a picker. (I pick off my mascara along with quite a few eyelashes; its a habit.) This LATISSE product/prescription piqued my interest for sure. But I just don't know if I would do it, especially without lots of research. Would you? Are you eyelashless and desperate? (I might be soon) Or do you just want fuller lashes?

Weekend Wear--Whats your "uniform"?

Ok, its Friday! Time for the weekend, I'm ready to slip out of heels and dress pants and into somthing comfy yet cute! Now we all know that the evening wardrobe for weekend is different for day, so lets stick to daywear. Tomorrow morning, I have errands to run "relatively early." I've been daydreaming about what I'm gonna wear, already. Pathetic, I know. So this got me thinking. I have ALOT of jersey dresses. Why? I don't really wear them to work or wear them "out" I wear them to a casual dinner or a day of running errands, like on a Saturday morning. Now outfits do vary, but most of the time its jersey dresses. They don't wrinkle; they look a lil better than just a screen tee and shorts, and they are SO comfy. I manage to find alot of mine(like these) at forever 21 and believe it or not Wal-mart!

I found this little tiered number from wal-mart and it looks GREAT with a little jacket. Also OP has come to walmart and had the cutest tri-color dresses in BRIGHTS! Like, grey, pink and purple and another with blue, turquoise and lime green (thats the one i managed to snag) SO SO SO adorable and perfect for summer.

Forever 21 also has GREAT choices:

Like this one!! Where's my credit card? Throw on some sunglasses and flipflops and you look effortlessly chic!
They also have some great solid color dresses, when paired with a different color tank look adorable.

So jersey dresses are my weekend uniform? whats yours?

Summer = time for changes!

So in January, I made a New Years Resolution to grow out my overly-dyed hair and continue growing the length of my hair to get it healthy and happy and natural and also not spend so much money on salon visits.

Fast forward 5 months.... My roots have grown out about 5 to 6inches (i have slow growing hair), my natural color is a boring brown, the color is 1/2 brown and 1/2 dirty blonde, my hair is limp and won't hold a hairstyle. Needless to say, I've taken some "GREAT" pictures lately; notice the sarcasm. The only remotely good thing is my hair is much healthier (except the dried out ends).
So now my birthday is in one week and I'm going to a big family function soon, where I haven't seen anyone in about 2 years. So, I've given up, saved up and surrendered to a few things:

1) I've dyed my hair most near my natural color, Its now all even at least.
2) I'm going to a salon and willing to spend money.
3) I'm going to get highlights again; I miss them.
4) I'm going to cut about 7 inches of hair I've worked so long to grow into a lob (long bog)
--like Ashley Olsen's but with Nichole Richie's Bangs too--

I'm absolutely ecstatic about it! It will be a big change, but also a much needed one. Just in time for summer too!
Are you making big changes for summer? If so, what are they? What changes are you to scared to make?

Katy Perry, what to wear?

Katy Perry will be in concert this next Monday at the House of Blues in Dallas! and guess whose going? Lil' ole me! I'm super excited to see the wacky singer. But I have a HUGE dilemma?!?!

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Now we all know that Katy Perry has a very unique sense of style!

Seventeen Magazine has these tips for playing up her style, " To get Katy's old-school glamour, try hitting up your local vintage stores for cute halter tops and pinup-girl-style hot pants.
try a supershort tiered, patterned strapless dress, paired with a solid-colored cardigan.
And Katy is all about bold accessories. Try adding a huge bright belt, fingerless gloves, a big flower in your hair, some cute pins, massive earrings, or even a parasol! Accessories are a great conversation starter, but stick to two or three."

I happen to LOVE her brilliant style! So of course I want to wear a super cute, super funky, super unique "Katy Perryish" look! She wears lots of rompers! (which i have a black satin strapless one; similar to this one)

But also some adorable dresses!

I'm stumped!

What would you recommend? What would you wear?

Daring, Different, and Dazzling!

A few decided to step out of simple and elegant and into different and daring ensembles. And they worked! Check out these great pictures!
---Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashely Olsen---
These girls are usually the epitome of hobo chic, but don't the clean up nicely? I love MK's bewitching dress with the metallic grey brocade. And Ashely looked heavenly in her classic white dress with the plunging black back.
Bravo! Well done!
---Leighton Meester, Katy Perry, Selma Blair---
These looks are some of the most different, that I think still looked great. Ok, Leighton's outfit almost borders on wacko, I know, but somehow I think the GG's Blair "makes it work". The shape, the color, it all works for the COSTUME Institute function. The bright blue of Katy Perry's dress is a wonderful pop of color on the "Waking up in Vegas" singer. And the Metal collar and bracelet reinforce her crazy style. Selma Blair looks like a futuristic, couture, warrior! Stay out of SB's fierce way!
Love these bold choices and the fierce attitude to go with them!
---Anja Rubi, Sasha Pivovarova---
These girls I can only assume are models, hello! They are gorgeous! I think they had two of the most awesome dresses of the night! If Anja's futuristic metallic and black dress is how we are gonna dress in the future sign me up now, I love this dress!! Now if you put any celebrity in Sasha's dress, they would be on the worst dressed list, but put on the leggy blonde model and the result is a haute couture dream! I love these feather sleeves and her fierce face!
Wow, if I could only look this fierce!
